Waste Connections operates the Navan Road Landfill which is a “dry waste” facility that accepts industrial, commercial and institutional (IC&I) and construction and demolition (C&D) waste. Waste Connections is the third largest non-hazardous solid waste management company in North America.
The Navan site began in 1960 as a small local operation and has grown into a fully engineered landfill serving customers across Eastern Ontario. The 195 hectare site today includes extensive landscaping, an odour control system, a wheel wash system for dust and mud control, re-cycling drop off areas, and two eco-friendly storm water ponds that regularly attract geese and deer.
In partnership with the Friends of the Mer Bleue (FOMB), Waste Connections is pleased to be working with the local community through the community fund to finance improvements in the local area.
FOMB also provides a complaint form if residents have any issues with the daily operation of the landfill.
